Garvey Schubert Barer is a Seattle-based international firm competing with the Northwest’s largest firms. In conducting the intake interviews with the terrific CMO Melissa Hoff, we realized that the firm represented much larger and more sophisticated clients than its relatively small size would suggest. We thought a testimonial-based campaign would validate its skills and be more persuasive than simply claiming that the firm represents prominent companies.

We used strong photos of well-known clients to highlight its remarkable representations and leveraging the firm’s strong orange-colored brand. Clients included Venus and Serena Williams (“Whatever court they enter, we’ll help them win.”) and InFocus LCD projectors (“We’ve helped InFocus see their vision.”).

We also created a niche campaign targeting its representation of the accounting industry. After a successful run, we were asked to refresh the campaign three years later by the firm’s new CMO with a campaign we built off the firm’s well-known triangular orange shape.
